What is D.EL.ED (Diploma in Elementary Education)? D.EL.ED. is a Diploma course in Elementary Education .It has 2 year full time diploma course to train teacher for the primary level and can be done with the classroom training. It is a 4 semester course to prepare student to work in primary/upper primary schools in different states of the country. The design of the course is such that it includes principle of child development, education practice, and the role of the teacher in grooming the student. Required Skill and Eligibility for D.EL.ED/B.T.C. .

1- The candidate should possess good communication skills, patience, creative thinking and an aptitude to teaching

2- It is a course for after graduation. Anyone completed graduation from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks is eligible to do this course.( In case of reservation minimum marks percentage should be less)

3- The age limit might vary from one Examination body to another. However broadly the minimum age is 18 years and maximum age limit is 35 years. One can check the respective examination body requirements before applying.(In case of sc/st/obc age limit 40 year)

4- The candidate should have passed 10th, 12th, and Graduation from a recognized University/ Institution. The candidates who have done one or two-year Undergraduate Diploma are not eligible to appear for this course. Applicants must have completed graduation in any field (B.A/B.Sc/B.CA/BBA/B.com/B.Tech) Arts, Commerce, and Science.

To be a teacher at primary and elementary schools. The BTC/ D.EL.ED Merit List is made based on the marks obtained by the students in the 10th, 12th and Graduation.
